The Story of a Russian Umbrella Seller

The Challenge

Our client, a traditional umbrella manufacturer and wholesale distributor, dominated the Russian market during the early stage of their business.  However they were facing a scalability problem when they wanted to enter many more markets at the same time. With digitalization being more and more ubiquitous, it was a natural choice for our client to expand into an online retail business.

 

The Solution

After a number of discussions to understand more about the client’s business aspirations, we identified a suitable e-commerce platform that meets the client’s functional needs and users’ expectations. Then we implemented the platform in a timely manner that coincides with the client’s business timeline.

 

The Results

The client was able activate a direct sales channel in a new market – China – through on-line channel. Now this online business is making up one third of the entire business of the client.

The Crane Trading Marketplace

The Challenge

Primarily operating as a brick and mortar business, our client who is a construction equipment trader wished to expand their business and provide this niche industry a more efficient way to buy and sell the equipments.

 

The Solution

After a series of design thinking exercise to align the business goals, the product roadmap for this platform was initially defined. A marketplace solution was decided as the Minimal Viable Product (MVP) which we delivered to the client within two month’s time. We provided end to end services including brand system, logo design, UX/UI design, frontend website development as well as the implementation of the listing management platform.

 

The Results

We achieved desirable time-to-market for the client to establish a strong foundation for the industry-disruptive ecosystem. Tangible business results were achieved during the first few weeks of platform launch.

The Challenge

Our client – an executive search firm that has operated in Hong Kong for a number of years – wanted to expand their business beyond Hong Kong by utilising digital channels.
